How I Manifested…Buddha!

I have a marvelous story to record here today. Yesterday, before going to my hair appointment in Yorkville, I was listening to Crystal Andrus Morisette talking about her Emotional Edge course, which I intend to take.

She shared a true story, originally told her by author, Louise Hay.

In 1957, in Thailand, a group of monks were in the process of moving a five-ton Buddha statue made of clay. Although they had secured it properly with ropes and such, at some point during the move, one of the ropes gave way, the statue fell and…it cracked!

The monks were horrified. This sacred statue had survived 500 years without damage and now they had destroyed it.

Then, one of the monks felt inspired to an act of courage, took out his chisel and started whittling away at the crack.

As he was doing that, the others joined and…discovered that, underneath the clay, the statue was pure solid gold!

Naturally, I loved the story and I immediately resonated with Crystal’s commentary, about how we are all pure solid gold in the beginning and then we cover ourselves, or get covered by others, with clay.

After my hair appointment, I had arranged to meet with my friend and have dinner. As we were sitting in the restaurant, I told her the story and my conclusions and I enjoyed it again even more.

She went to the bathroom, while I walked outside to wait for her and bask in the enjoyment I was feeling.

It was a beautiful night, without a wisp of wind and the air was almost sweet, despite the fact that it is January.

My friend joined me and, because it was so nice, we decided to go for a short walk.

We literally had not taken more than three steps and I noticed some sort of art gallery that I did not know was there. It was past their closing time but the sales people were still inside and the lights were on.

My eyes took in various large paintings which did not speak to me and then I zoomed in on the floor to ceiling window right in front of my nose.  In it, there was a huge Lucite stand, divided into twelve compartments. And, in each compartment…there was a Swarovski-covered Buddha statue!

My friend and I stood in front of it, transfixed and awed. I turned to her and said that I would love to have a much smaller version of one of those status to keep on my desk and wondered if they had something like that.

At exactly that point, one of the sales people came out to lock the door. I said Hello, expressed my admiration for the statues and asked if they had smaller versions. And, of course, he said yes! (I wasn’t even surprised.☺)

Needless to say, I will definitely get one next week because it’s like a sign of what’s to come.

I am happy!
